Wield the dual-spinning cross between Medusa and her slayer, Perseus, from the Greek mythos. Gravity Destroyer AD145WD is an excellent defense-type Beyblade that can be one of the most durable Beyblades in the MFB arena.
It features Destroyer, an energy ring that can be rotated to switch between Counter Mode (eyes covered) and Defense Mode (helmet-shaped with the eyes visible). This ring only fits the Gravity fusion wheel, as it lacks the “stoppers” that decide which direction of the prongs will get blocked. But more importantly, the wheel also has pockets where the energy ring sits.
The Defense Mode reduces recoil as the jagged protrusions of the Beyblade are covered, meaning most hits will be absorbed by the bulky fusion wheel’s metal. The Counter Mode is meant for attacking, with the jagged protrusions acting as smash attack components.
The AD145 is a unique spin track. Before more competitive ones came along (such as BD145 in Hades Kerbecs or W145 in Wing in Samurai Ifraid), it was pretty good overall. AD145’s chief letdown was that it was too light to be a defense-type spin track to absorb hits. With a full-metal build, that problem is effectively solved.
Lastly, no matter how many tips outcompete the WD in terms of defense or stamina, it remains one of the more solid, reliable choices for Beyblades that don’t rely entirely on aggression.
