Championship

PowerScore across all SpiralForge Powerblader Tournaments will be compiled throughout the season. At the end of the season, the highest-ranking eligible bladers from each format will be invited to the National Powerblader Championship, with sponsored or subsidized travel support where funding allows.

The National Championship will crown separate champions for each eligible format. This avoids forcing bladers from completely different formats into one unfair bracket. A Full-Metal Beyblades specialist, a Midfake player, and a Burst Under-50g blader are playing different games in many ways. So they should earn titles in their own formats first.

A format will be included in the National Championship only if at least 10 eligible Bladers qualify and confirm attendance for that format.

General Plan

Conduct official city tournaments throughout the year.

Track PowerScore separately for each format.

Invite the top eligible bladers from each active format.

Include only formats with at least 10 confirmed eligible finalists.

Run separate Championship brackets for each chosen format.

Crown one National Champion for each format.

Eligibility rules can change as the tournament grows, but the base requirement will be simple: a Blader must have played enough ranked events in that format to prove they belong in the final. This prevents one-event flukes, farming, and last-minute leaderboard problems. To be eligible, you must:

  • Be in the top 10 of the leaderboard for that format
  • Have played at least 2 ranked events in that format during the season
  • Have attended at least 3 ranked Powerblader events overall

A format will invite players in leaderboard order until at least 10 eligible finalists confirm attendance. The initial invite list will start with the top 10, but waitlisted players may be invited if higher-ranked players decline or cannot attend.

Eligibility will be based on leaderboard position, minimum event count, and confirmed attendance. As the tournament grows, we might introduce a minimum PS eligibility criteria or a seasonal PS eligibility criteria.

To reiterate: PowerScore is tracked separately for each format. This means a blader may rank highly in FMB while having no ranking in BU50 or XU40. The National Championship will use these format-specific rankings to invite top bladers for each eligible format. SpiralForge will not crown one overall champion across unrelated formats unless a separate multi-format event, such as the Triblader Challenge, is held.

Annual Season: A Powerblader season will run for one calendar year unless announced otherwise. All ranked events within that season will count toward that year’s National Championship eligibility.

Future Update: Triblader Challenge

Special all-rounder title for elite multi-format bladers

Once enough bladers have strong PowerScore rankings across multiple formats, SpiralForge may host a special Triblader Challenge. This will be a separate all-rounder title. It will not replace the individual format championships.

To qualify, a blader must have a minimum required PowerScore in at least 3 formats. For example, if 6 or more bladers have 100+ PS in 3 or more formats, the Triblader Challenge may be held after the main Championship events.

Format selection:

  1. Each qualified Blader gives +2 votes to 3 preferred formats.
  2. Each qualified Blader gives -1 vote to 2 veto formats.
  3. The 3 formats with the highest final score are selected.
  4. If there is a tie, the format with higher season participation wins.
  5. All qualified Bladers must prepare legal combos for the 3 selected formats.
  6. The blader with the best combined result across all 3 formats is crowned the Triblader Champion.

Future Update: Team Matches

Anime-style action

Players will be encouraged to form teams. If we have 3 consistent teams at the minimum, 6 total matches can be scheduled in a round-robin format. The exact team size is not decided yet.

Team events will use a separate TeamScore and will not affect individual format PowerScore unless announced as a special ranked team season. Individual PS should remain tied to individual performance. Players may not change teams during an active team season unless organizers approve the transfer.
