Core Principles

It’s almost too easy to jot down a cool idea and hope for an ideal scenario. But not all ideas are truly practical. If we wish to proceed, we need to have highly specific principles that will differentiate us from any other form of community-building in the space. That shall be done by adhering to and prioritizing our Core Principles at all times.

1. Unity at all times

To keep members united and streamline communication, logistics, etc., so that we can ensure regular tournaments.

2. Well-defined rulesets

Have our own ranking system and format rules to rival the systems used in official tournaments and WBO tournaments.

3. Promoting power Beyblading & special formats

Unlike WBO or official tournaments, we’ll focus on special formats to expand the hobby. Why?

  1. We want to highlight lesser-known Beyblade types and create a meta around them, because Beyblade enjoyers are not limited to just those who can buy original parts or play the latest meta comfortably. We cater to those who have been missed by other tournaments.
  2. We want to put special limits on OG Beys to bring out a blader’s creativity with weight categories, like Burst Under-50g or MFB Over-50g. We’ll fine-tune and expand these weight tiers in the future, likely bringing in Beyblade X as well. This introduces an element of severe limitation to see what type of innovation Bladers can come up with when making competitive combos.

4. Staying non-profit

The Powerblader Tournaments will be a non-profit organization. Anyone who also sells on the side will not bring their business aspect into the running of this organization.

For example, Person X can be a part of Powerblader officially and also register as a Beyblade reseller for a stall placement in one of our tournaments, but Person X will not be using the tournament/organization’s resources or platform to further their own goals.

Powerblader Tournaments promise to have a transparent record of all money-in and money-out as public information. It further promises to utilize the funds only for the further development of Beyblade as a hobby in India.
