Hell’s gates swing wide open! Hades Kerbecs resembles Hades’ three-headed dog, Cerberus, in Greek mythology. One of the strongest stock combo Beyblades (uncustomized), Hades Kerbecs is well-known for its circular build that allows it to spin on the stadium with excellent stamina. At the time of release, Hades Kerbecs BD145DS was the widest MFB as part of the “Maximum” series. With the fusion wheel + boost disk in Boost Mode (the more popular one), all cavities in the wheel are filled by the boost disk. This makes the contact surface wholly circular. As a completely circular Beyblade, Hades Kerbecs BD145DS is exceptionally good at conserving its inertia on the battlefield.
The BD145 spin track is insanely big, covering the whole diameter of the Beyblade, easily outclassing other excellent tracks, such as the AD145 in Gravity Destroyer. It has two parts—the larger disc and the central core, which is more akin to a traditional spin track. If you fit it inversely, you will have the “Attack” mode of Hades Kerbecs. In this, there’s a gap between the wheel and the boost disk. However, this is generally not recommended. Even though this unsheathes the three-pronged design of Hades for smash attack, the lower boost disk scrapes the stadium surface, slowing the Beyblade. This gap is also not particularly good for the overall balance of the Beyblade.
The DS or Defense Spike tip is a mix of Defense and Spike. It features a central spike inside of an otherwise defense chunk. The way it works on paper is this: you get more centrifugal force as the Beyblade spins. In reality, however, this doesn’t quite work as expected. Still, the DS tip is good in balancing the Beyblade, though it’s recommended to put a WD or a better tip on it for better defensive/stamina performance.
Why is the cost higher? Hades Kerbecs features an additional part (the Boost Disk’s disk part) and requires more material for production in other parts as well.
